So as much as I love Twitter, today has been a frustrating Monday. My account has been hacked and all of my followers have gotten spam direct messages from me.
It is irritating, especially when people tweet or make comments and make it seem like you are the one at fault. Then I pay the consequence when someone “unfollows” me. I hate when people of influence do not think before they make a comment or send a tweet. Telling people that I just unfollowed your “virus-laden” blank does not make you cool. It messes with someone’s integrity and affects the connections they have made through platforms like Twitter.
So, I want to apologize for my account being hacked and any direct email messages that have been sent to my followers. Please do not click on the links, or you will also be infected with the virus.
Here is a great post about what to do if this happens to you.
